The Lorad Multicare is a mammographic X-Ray system specifically designed for prone stereotaxis. It is used to accurately target a lesion and guide the physician in the precise insertion of a needle into the lesion. Lesion targeting is accomplished by acquiring two views(stereo images) of the lesion area from which three dimensional coordinates of the lesion are determined. The images are acquired digitally, using the Digital Spot Mammography (DSM) System

Intended Uses:
The Lorad Multicare is intended for use in the localization of previously discovered abnormalities (Lesions and microcalcifications) of the breast, and guidance in the insertion of a needle in preparation for surgical or nonsurgical biopsy. The procedures that can be performed are:
